Recognize those small cylindrical gold parts? You might not notice this at first, but they are something we see all the time: electrical connectors, such as the little pieces of metal that plug earbuds into an iPhone. Nadia Martinez, one of our #MADArtistStudios artists, used them to create this piece, titled ‘Tears of Joy.’ She’ll be working every Friday at MAD for the next four months in a studio open to the public. Stop by to see her process. #jewelry #craft Tears of Joy, 2014 Gold Plated connectors, resin and chain A photo posted by Museum of Arts & Design | MAD (@madmuseum) on Feb 11, 2016 at 2:56pm PST
