Recognize those small cylindrical gold parts? You might not notice this at first, but they are something we see all the time: electrical connectors, such as the little pieces of metal that plug earbuds into an iPhone. Nadia Martinez, one of our #MADArtistStudios artists, used them to create this piece, titled ‘Tears of Joy.’ She’ll be working every Friday at MAD for the next four months in a studio open to the public. First week at the MAD

It was a great start, this week I was at the MAD Museum Thursday evening and Friday during the day, a lot of visitors passed by the studio including Michele @madcapheiress25 and she took some photographs, here is one

The other day I visited the Museum of Arts and Design for the first time and met artist-in-residence Nadia Martinez (@imartineza) who creates jewelry and sculptures from computer parts. I am an Artist-in-Residence at the Museum of Arts and Design Artist Studios program on Fridays from February 5th, 2016 to May 27th, 2016. Come visit!!

The Artist Studios are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
